Two former Clovis High School employees who were both accused of having sex with the same underage student will not have to serve time in jail or register as a sex offender, ABC 30 Action News reported. Dwayne Andrews, a former Clovis High School assistant football coach, and Matt Pena, a former assistant baseball coach and photography teacher, both admitted to having sex with the same underage student. Pena was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device for 115 days, and Andrews was ordered to spend 90 days in an adult offender work program. The victim had sex with Andrews from May 2014 to August 2014, and with Pena between October and December 2014. In announcing the punishment, Superior Court Judge Jonathan Skiles wanted to make it “crystal clear” the victim, who turned 18 in December 2014, did nothing wrong.

Austin Teacher Who Molested Students Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison  18

Alfredo Andrade-Gaytan, 34, was sentenced August 4th to 25 years in prison for molesting several of his students while in classrooms. The first reported incident involved a summer kindergarten protam at Reilly Elementary School. Andrade-Gayton reportedly assaulted a 6-year-old girl in a classroom while the other students were at recess. Andrade-Gaytan initially denied the incident but later confessed to “making a mistake.” Police found two more victims during the course of their investigation.

 

In one case, which occurred between Sept. 1 and Dec. 15, 2013, Andrade-Gaytan called a 5-year-old girl up to his desk while class was in session, pulled down her pants and underwear and began touching her. The girl told investigators she was behind his desk and an easel so other students in the classroom were not able to see what Andrade-Gayton was doing.

 

Andrade-Gayton was transferred to teach third grade at the school soon after. In another instance, which took place between Jan. 5 and June 5, 2014, an 8-year-old girl said Andrade-Gaytan “‘grabbed’ more than once” and inappropriately touched her behind his desk.

 

Andrade-Gaytan pleaded guilty to indecency with a child by exposure, indecency with a child by contact and continuous sexual abuse of a young child, according to records filed this month in Travis County court. District Judge Brenda Kennedy sentenced him Aug. 4 to 10 years, 20 years and 25 years on each of the charges, respectively. He will serve his sentence concurrently.

Jacob M. Burns, 26, a teacher at Newark High School, was indicted by a Licking County grand jury on felony counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented materials and disseminating materials harmful to a juvenile. According to a police report, the administrator of Burns’ school contacted police after an internal investigation determined Burns had been texting and messaging via the social networking app “snapchat” with a student multiple times a day and sometimes in the middle of the night. The student/victim had deleted the texts and disguised Burns’ name in her cell phone. Burns was suspended from his teaching job on March 3rd and resigned on March 26th. On August 11th, he pleaded guilty to exchanging nude images with an underage female student. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail, three years of community control, and a fine of $500 for the fifth-degree felony. Burns will not be required to register as a sexual offender.

Siloam Springs Intermediate School Teacher Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison  6

Mary Faith McCormick, 33, a sixth-grade language arts teacher at Siloam Springs Intermediate School, was arrested August 13 2014 and accused of exchanging sexually explicit photographs with a 13-year-old boy on the messaging app Snapchat. McCormick was sentenced in July 2015 to 8 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. She will have to serve at least two years before she will be eligible for parole. She must abide by a suspended sentence agreement for 12 years after her release from prison.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — A former teacher at Wolf Canyon Elementary School  – who posed as a girl on a webcam chat website called “MeetMe” –  was sentenced this month to 125 years to life in prison. John Raymond Kinloch, 43, was first arrested in November 2012, following an investigation by the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.  Kinloch reportedly posed as a 13-year-old girl to befriend boys ages 12-16.  At the time of his arrest on child molestation charges and child pornography charges, the 41-year-old had been teaching for 14 years and had passed background checks designed to protect students in the Chula Vista Elementary School District. One of the victims testified in 2013 that he met Kinloch when he was a student  Kinloch’s 2nd grade class at Feaster Charter School on Flower Street. When the victim was in 3rd grade, Kinloch asked him to take off his clothes.  Kinloch replortedly asked the victim to expose himself “many times” but touched the boy’s genitals only occasionally.  The molestation continued for five or six years.  At the time of his arrest, Kinloch was teaching first grade at Wolf Canyon Elementary School.

Michelle Yeh, 28, was arrested in Los Angeles this month after a student revealed she had “sexually abused him on several occasions” during the 2014-2015 school year. Yeh posted a $100,000 bond and is due back in court August 12th. CHESTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA – Anton Fomin, 45, a piano teacher and Russian national, was arrested on June 12, 2014 and charged with abuse of five 6-year-olds and an 11-year-old during private piano lessons at the Malvern School of Music.  Fomin began working for the Malvern school when it opened in 2008, and also taught piano out of his East Pikeland home. The investigation was initiated when a parent of a 6-year-old girl contacted the Malvern Police Department and told police that Fomin had touched her daughter inappropriately during one-on-one piano lessons at the school. On July 17, 2015, Fomin pleaded guilty in Chester County court and was sentenced to 3½ to seven years in state prison. According to the WPXI.COM news report, Fomin will be subject to deportation when he is released from prison.

Kellen Hubert, 29, a teacher at Corydon Central Junior High School, has been sentenced to one year in prison for a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student, multiple news outlets have reported.  Hubert was initially arrested in December when the student’s mother found text messages between her daughter and Hubert. He pleaded guilty to child seduction and the judge sentenced him to one year in prison and a year probation. Hubert will also have to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

Werner Alcid Gerard, 37, was arrested in May 2014 after police received reports from two 18-year-old men that Girard was in possession of video depicting a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old girl in various stages of undress, as well as Girard touching the girls inappropriately. Both victims were girls in Girard’s drama class. Girard was arrested and booked on 13 felony charges, including voyeurism, sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual conduct with a minor, sexual assault and unlawful viewing of a tape or recording of a person. In July 2015, Girard was sentenced to 20 years in prison as well as lifetime probation.
